My research interests are in Plant Disease Epidemiology, Population Genetics, Microbial Ecology,  Disease Management. Current research activities centres on microbial ecology (rhizosphere microbiome and endophytes), spatio-temporal dynamics of plant diseases, and developing strategies for sustainable disease management (effective deployment of host resistance, use of beneficial microbes etc.).
